Get Involved: How to Volunteer or Support Habitat!


 Welcome to Battle Creek Area Habitat!

You don't have to be a construction expert to become part of Habitat for Humanity. In fact, there are more than 100 ways you can help! (Click here for list.) From the office to the store to the construction or building rehab site, we can always find a place for volunteers.

Every year, more than 3,500 people get involved in Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity. And we want you to be one of them!

Here's a quick look at some of the most common volunteer positions at Habitat today:

  • ► Organize a group to help on an upcoming project
  • ► Help in the ReStore (many roles available)
  • ► Pick-up surplus supplies and household items

  • ► Provide clerical and phone help in our office
  • ► If you're in the skilled trades, work at a building site
  • ► Help raise funds for Habitat (many roles available)

  • ► Join our Program Directors or a committee
  • ► Work on financial, accounting and legal matters
  • ► Assist in our warehouse operation

  • Note: If you're interested in building a home with Habitat, or rehabbing an existing home, please call our office at (269) 966-2502 to discuss upcoming projects. Both individuals and groups are welcome.
